2. City of Huntington General Business License (mobile dog grooming)

   There is no 'Cabell County Animal Services' agency and no county mobile-groomer permit. Mobile dog grooming operations working inside Huntington city limits need a City of Huntington General Business License from the Finance Department, applied for with a copy of the WV Business Registration Certificate. An operator basing the grooming vehicle and supplies at a home in the city also needs a Home Occupation Permit from Planning & Zoning. Note that Cabell County does issue a separate Dog Shelter Permit if dogs are kept on a property, but that is a shelter/kennel permit rather than a grooming permit.
