Florida FDACS — Pet Boarding Facility License (as of July 1, 2025)

As of July 1, 2025, Florida consolidated animal facility licensing at the state level through FDACS. If you board animals at a fixed facility (home or commercial), you need a state license from FDACS. Orange County previously handled this; contact FDACS for current requirements. In-home pet sitters who visit only clients' homes are generally not required to obtain this license.
